How LumeRadar handles data.

This page explains what information LumeRadar may collect, how it is used, when it may be shared and what choices you have. It is adapted to the current public website: a watch radar, a contact page, eBay listing data and affiliate links.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy applies to the website located at https://www.lumeradar.com and other LumeRadar pages that link to it.

In this policy, "LumeRadar", "we", "us" and "our" refer to the LumeRadar website and related services. LumeRadar helps visitors discover and evaluate public eBay watch listings. The website may link to third-party websites and services, including eBay and Tally. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please discontinue use of the website.

2. Updates to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we may provide a more prominent notice on the website.

3. Information we collect

Information you provide

You may provide information when you contact us, submit feedback, report a listing issue or send suggestions. This may include your name, email address and the content of your message. The Contact page currently uses an embedded Tally form, so information submitted through that form is also processed by Tally.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, LumeRadar may collect technical and usage information such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring page, pages visited, date and time of access, request logs and basic performance or security events.

Public eBay listing data

LumeRadar collects, stores and analyzes public eBay listing information to operate the radar. This may include item titles, prices, bids, watch counts where available, images, item URLs, seller usernames, seller feedback, item specifics, locations, shipping/return terms, timestamps and listing status. This data is used to rank, filter and explain listings. It is not collected from your private eBay account.

Information we do not currently collect

The current public website does not provide user accounts, saved accounts, payment processing, eBay account linking, purchase-history imports or user watchlists. If these features are introduced, this policy should be updated to describe them.

4. How we use information

We may use information for the following purposes:

  • operate, maintain and improve the LumeRadar website and radar functionality;
  • ingest, enrich, rank, filter and display public eBay watch listings;
  • respond to contact requests, feedback, listing-quality issues and product suggestions;
  • monitor website performance, debug technical issues and protect against abuse or security incidents;
  • measure general website usage and product quality;
  • manage affiliate links and related disclosures;
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce applicable terms or policies.

5. How we share information

We may share information when needed to operate the website, comply with law or protect legitimate interests. This may include:

  • service providers that support hosting, databases, forms, analytics, security, email or infrastructure;
  • Tally, when you use the embedded Contact form;
  • eBay or eBay-related systems when you open eBay listing links or when affiliate parameters are used;
  • professional advisers, authorities or other parties when required by law or to protect rights, safety and security;
  • successors or relevant parties in connection with a merger, acquisition, asset transfer or similar transaction;
  • aggregated or de-identified information that does not directly identify you.

We do not sell personal information in the ordinary sense of exchanging it for money. Some privacy laws define "sale" or "sharing" broadly, so you may contact us if you have questions about your rights.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

LumeRadar may use cookies, server logs or similar technologies to operate the website, remember technical preferences, protect the service, measure performance or understand usage. Third-party services embedded on or linked from the site, such as Tally and eBay, may use their own cookies or tracking technologies under their own policies.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some website features or third-party embeds.

When you click an eBay link, the destination URL may include affiliate parameters. Those parameters help identify LumeRadar as the referring site and may allow LumeRadar to earn a commission from qualifying purchases.

7. Your choices and privacy rights

You may contact us to request access, correction or deletion of personal information that we hold about you. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Some information may be retained when required for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution or legitimate operational purposes.

If you are located in a jurisdiction with specific privacy rights, such as the EEA, U.K., Switzerland, California, Colorado, Virginia or similar regions, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to or receive a copy of certain personal information. We will consider requests in accordance with applicable law.

Some browsers offer "Do Not Track" signals. There is not currently a consistent industry standard for how websites should respond to those signals, so LumeRadar does not currently respond to DNT signals.

8. Security, retention and disposal

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information handled by LumeRadar. However, no website, database, network or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

We retain information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including operating the radar, improving the service, maintaining records, resolving disputes, complying with law and protecting the website. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or keep it in a form that does not reasonably identify a person, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

9. Children's privacy

LumeRadar is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps.

10. International disclosures

LumeRadar may process information in countries other than the one where you are located. Data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. If you are in the EEA, U.K. or Switzerland, our lawful bases may include legitimate interests, consent, compliance with legal obligations and steps necessary to respond to your requests.

You may have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. We would appreciate the opportunity to address your concern first through the contact page.

11. Third-party services and links

This website links to or embeds third-party services. Their privacy policies may apply when you interact with them:
